Following the arrest of the bus carrying female Dervishes and inspection and interrogation by the road police, they were halted from continuing their journey and the bus was sent back to their home town, Beidokht.
According to Majzooban Noor, the road police, under orders from security police, intercepted the bus carrying female Dervishes on the way to visit their beloved leader (Qutb) and partake in Sufi sessions and interrogated, searched, and detained them for hours in Sabzevar Station 13. Subsequently, they sent them back, telling them that Gonabad’s Prosecutor had advised the police force on the phone that the Dervishes were banned from travelling to Tehran for five days.
It has also been reported that the passengers attempted to travel to Tehran via an alternative bus. That bus was also arrested and the driver’s license was suspended so that the passengers would have to go back to Beidokht.
It is worth mentioning that following peaceful protests of Dervishes in front of Ministry of Justice and the Prosecutor General’s office in Tehran under the banner of “Migration from Iran to Evin” campaign, a wave of intimidation and suppression has begun by the security apparatus through summoning Dervishes to Prosecutor offices and police stations via telephone calls and text messages in different cities, such as Bandar Abbas, Dorood, and Tehran and a heightened sensitivity towards Dervishes’ travelling to Tehran.
