Three Gonabadi Dervish prisoners, jailed in Evin prison, refused to go to visitation hall to protest abusive behavior by prison guards against rights of intellectual and political prisoners.
According to a report by Majzooban Noor, imprisoned Gonabadi Dervish lawyers, Messrs. Amir Eslami, Omid Behroozi and Mostafa Abdi have announced that in protest against inhumane and illegal behavior toward two jailed Gonabadi Dervishes in ward 7 and 8 of Evin prison, Farshid Yadollahi and Reza Entesari, will deny family visitation rights to show their sympathy and solidarity with their brothers.
According to previous reports by Majzooban Noor, Farshid Yadollahi along with another jailed Gonabadi Dervish, Reaza Entesari was serving his sentence in the Evin Prison. The two Dervishes were suddenly transferred from Evin Prison to Rajai-Shahr Prison, west of Tehran. The illegal transfer of them and the lack of medical treatment for imprisoned human rights lawyers, like him, along with other prisoners of conscience prompted a protest in early March plus a massive hunger strike.
Farshid Yadollahi and Reza Entesari who had been illegally transferred from Evin prison in Tehran to imprisoned exile at the Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj on March 2, separately within two days transferred to the public offenses sections of Evin prison, ward 7 and 8 which are for ordinary sentenced prisoners in Evin.
Currently, Gonabadi Dervish lawyer, Farshid Yadollahi is being held in Hall 6, section 7 and Reza Entesari in Hall 7, section 8 of Evin prison.
This sudden action was done, while, according to Iranian prison regulations, inmates must be separated by their crimes and political prisoners and prisoners of conscience including jailed Dervishes, should not be mixed with ordinary inmates.
Dervish rights activist, photojournalist and one of the collaborators of Majzooban Noor website , Reza Entesari who has been dismissed from Radio and Television of the Islamic Republic of Iran in 1388 has also refused to go to visit hall in order to protest against being forced to wear prison uniform which is absolutely against Jails rules and regulations. In fact, according to the first paragraph of Article 235 of Executive Regulation of Prison Law, political prisoners and prisoners of conscience are exempt from wearing a prison uniform, using handcuffs and footcuffs.

Another jailed Dervish in ward 350 of Evin prison, Omid Behroozi despite numerous problems including neck arthritis and severe hearing loss in his left ear was prevented from being transferred to the hospital outside of prison for specialist’s exams and MRI scan of his ears to determine his physical condition. He has been prevented from receiving treatment outside of prison since a long time ago.
Forcing jailed Dervishes to use handcuffs and prison uniform is the reason that he has been denied a transfer to the hospital.
