Three Ill Dervishes Joined Hunger Strike to Protest the Exile of their Cellmates

Three ill Dervish prisoners have joined a hunger strike in Evin’s ward 350 to protest against the deportation of their 2 Dervish cellmates to Rajai Shahr prison.
According to Kaleme website, Hamid-Reza Moradi, Mostafa Daneshjou and Afshin Karampour who suffer from serious health conditions to protest against the illegal deportation of Farshid Yadollahi and Reza Entesari to Karaj’s Rajai Shahr prison and also to express their solidarity with other jailed Dervishes who are on hunger strike, are refusing to take any medication and food.
On 6 Esfand 1392 (Feb 25, 2013), Hamid-Reza Moradi and Mostafa Daneshjou, imprisoned Dervish rights activists who were admitted to Tehran Heart Center and have been candidates for Cardiac surgery, during the night time were returned from hospital to Evin prison.
Due to blocked arteries, Hamid-Reza Moradi Sarvestani, has been warned on the risk of his legs amputation if he does not receive medical treatment. Gonabadi Dervish lawyer, Mostafa Daneshjou is suffering from cardiac arrhythmia, severe respiratory disease and asthma and according to the coroner’s certificate his lung capacity has diminished with 40 percent during his jail term.
Ashin Karampour is suffering from lumbar spine pain and acute kidney problems and his condition has seriously deteriorated over the past few days.
According to the report, there is growing concern over the fate of these three sick and jailed Dervishes in ward 350.
Currently, a total of 9 Gonabadi Dervishes are on hunger strike in Evin and Rajai Shahr Prison.
