Gonabadi Dervishes’s Abusive Interrogations at No. 100 in Shiraz

Yesterday on 5 Khordad ( May 26), five Gonabadi Dervishes residents of Kavar town, who had received written summons to appear in the Shiraz’s intelligence office, known as “Pelak 100″( No. 100) were being under ideological and abusive interrogations for several hours there.

According to previous reports, Sunday on 5th of Khordad 1392 (May 26 2013) seven Gonabadi Dervishes from Kavar town who were given notice to come to Branch 14 of Shiraz’s Revolutionary Court, went to the Shiraz Intelligence Office Detention Center known as Number 100 in order to present themselves but were exposed to interrogation.

The court session was held in the presence of Dervishes’s attorneys, Montazeri and Nazari in which the judge allowed intelligence officers for two-hour interrogate Gonabadi Dervishes.
Following this command, Messrs. Kazem Dehghan, Yahya Dehghan, Mehrdad Keshavarz, Mehdi Dehghan and Hamid Reza Arayesh referred to Shiraz Intelligence Office Detention Center known as Number 100 where they were insulted and abused by security guards during interrogations for hours. The interrogation session was with insulting their religious beliefs and disrespecting great masters of Nematollahi Gonabadi Order and despite having permit for a two-hour interrogation but it was lasted for hours and was with violence and threats.
So that investigators threatened Dervishes and told: “If you do not cooperate, your head will be hanged on the gallows! “
These Gonabadi Dervishes are charged with “acting against national security,” “disturbing public order,” “assault and battery,” and carrying illegal weapons. Previously they had been also charged with “moharebeh or defying God” and “corruption on Earth ” but they were acquitted of blame by Shiraz’s Revolutionary Court and the bail of 150 million toman were issued for some of them.

Since Shahrivar 1390 (September 2011) following the attacks by Basiji and plain-clothes on Gonabadi Dervishes in Kavar town in Fars Province which resulted the death of one Dervish called “Vahid Banani” who was killed by a gun-shut and so many file cases opened against Gonabadi Dervishes in court, pressures on Gonabadi Dervishes increased, so on, in the second half of 1390 and first half of 1391 more than 100 Gonabadi Dervishes in the city of Kavar, arrested, beaten, and without receiving written summons have been tried.
