Emergency Transfer of Dervish Lawyer, Amir Eslami to Hospital after Heart Attack

Imprisoned Gonabadi Dervish lawyer, Amir Eslami, was taken to hospital after he had a heart attack.
Amir Eslami, one of the jailed Dervish lawyers suffered the acute heart failure yesterday on 25 Ordibehesht 1392 ( May 14 2013) in Ward 350 of Evin prison which caused him to fall unconscious and could not be breathing normally.
Due to his critical health condition he was transferred to Tehran Modarres hospital on an urgent basis by prison authorities but unfortunately
he received no special consideration to his health condition in hospital and after outpatient testing brought back to prison.
His wife that was informed about transfer of Amir Eslami to hospital and had gone there, was confronted with security forces clash and could visit her husband just for a few minutes.
In this regard, Mrs. Maryam Shirini, the wife of Amir Eslami said to Majzooban Noor: ” When I saw him closely, I was shocked and couldn’t believe, Amir has become so weak and sick. With the yellow face full of skin spots. Prison authorities did not provide to treat his medical needs and only after a check-up, he was returned to prison again.”
Amir Eslami, is a Gonabadi Dervish and lawyer who along with six other lawyers and Majzooban Noor website’s managers has remained behind bars in security wards of Evin prison for more than 20 months.
He is a heart patient and has suffered two cardiac traumas in Ward 350 and has been taking medicine under medical supervision. He was being held in solitary confinement in ward 209 of Evin prison for more than 90 days from 27th Dey 1391 to 24 Farvardin 1392 ( (January 16, 2013-April 13, 2013). The conditions of his imprisonment have damaged his health. As a result of staying in closed area for a long period of time and not getting fresh air, his health condition is worse than it was before and his heartthrob has enhanced. His heartbeat has gone more irregular and he often vomited blood but he has not received any medical care.
