A large number of Gonabadi Dervishes residents of Shiraz, at a meeting with families of imprisoned Dervishes in Adel Abad prison, Saleh Moradi and Kasra Nouri who are currently on hunger strike for 74 days, by appeasing their families, requested them to convey their feeling and messages to jailed Dervishes to end their hunger strike.
According to Majzooban Noor, over the past two days, many Gonabadi Dervishes from Shiraz, have gone to houses of Saleh Moradi and Kasra Nouri and by expressing solidarity with them and appease their families, urged these two Dervish rights activists to end their dry hunger strike as soon as possible. They asked the families of these prisoners of conscience to deliver the letter which was written to Dervish hunger strikers.
During the meeting, they announced that, Dervishes’s health is their most important asset so we beseech them to end their dry hunger strike.
In a part of the latter it is mentioned: “We do beseech you to break this “Wishing Fasting” and request you to make all Dervishes’s hearts happy and joyful by that.

As previously a group of Gonabadi dervishes and also 22 imprisoned Green Movement activists have issued some open letters urging them to end their refusal to eat. The letters recognize the dervishes’ sacrifices and commend their persistence but letters urge the two dervishes to end their strike before it leads to a catastrophe.

Saleh Moradi and Kasra Nouri have began a dry hunger strike on March 21 in protest against the illegal imprisonment of their legal representatives, who reportedly have been put in solitary confinement. The lawyers for the Gonabadi dervishes were sent to solitary confinement of Evin’s Ward 209, 74 days ago, after they protested the proceedings against all jailed Dervishes and the actions of Judge Salavati. Saleh Moradi and Kasra Nouri have announced that so long as “Hamid Moradi, Mostafa Daneshjou, Farshid Yadollahi, Amir Eslami, Afshin Karampour, Reza Entesari and Omid Behroozi” are not moved back to the general ward of the prison and action has not been taken for their treatment and health, they will continue with their hunger strike.
According to their families, Dervish hunger strikers after repeated loss of consciousness are now at death’s door and the only reason these two prisoners of conscience have survived is due to serum therapy but under pressure of the prison security guards who is exerting tremendous pressure on them to end the hunger strike.
