According to Majzooban Noor, quoted from Kaleme website, Monday morning two imprisoned Gonabadi Dervishes in Ward 350 of Evin prison, Ali Reza Roushan and Mostafa Abdi who have lunched a hunger strike since the first day of Farvardin 1392 (March 21 2013) were summoned to the Intelligence Protection office of Evin prison and then temporarily suspended their hunger strike.
Ali Reza Roushan and Mostafa Abdi embarked on a hunger strike in protest against the illegal imprisonment of seven Gonabadi dervishes’s lawyers and Majzooban Noor website managers in the basement cells of the Section 209 of Evin prison in the past 72 days and lack of care for their critical health conditions and also in support of their brothers in faith, jailed Gonabadi Dervishes in Shiraz’s Adel Abad prison, Saleh Moradi and Kasra Nouri, who after 64 days of wet hunger strike, have started a dry hunger strike with the same demands since Thursday March 21.
Prison officials at the meeting with the dervishes asked them to break their hunger strike and negotiate with the representative of the Ministry of Information about situation of seven Gonabadi Dervishes (Messrs. Hamid Reza Moradi Sarvestani, Amir Eslami, Mostafa Daneshjou, Farshid Yadollahi, Afshin Karampour, Omid Behroozi and Reza Entesari) who are confined in Ward 209.
According to the report, prison authorities requested these two prisoners of conscience to stop their hunger strike till 17th of Farvardin 92 ( Apr. 6, 2013). So they suspended their hunger strike and announced that, they will go ahead with political fasting in stead of hunger strike until Farvardin 17 in protest against the treatment of their brothers in faith.

According to Majzooban Noor and Kaleme website, Tuesday, Dey 26 (January 15) when jailed manager of Majzooban Noor, Hamid Moradi summoned to hearing and he refused to accept the summon, prison guard officers went to the section 350 to take Moradi, other six Dervishes to show their support and solidarity with him stated that they just do not leave him alone. Following Dervishes action and the support of other political prisoners, Gonabadi Dervish, Hamid Reza Moradi was taken to ward 209 of Evin prison, another six jailed Gonabadi Dervishes were transferred to Ward 240 under the order of Javad Momeni, prison deputy governor and interim superintendent of section 209.

Monday, Bahman 2 (January 21), six Dervishes that were in Ward 240 transferred to Ward 209 which in their hair and beards were shaved by prison agents. Regarding dervishes religious beliefs, purpose of this such action is nothing but contempt and insult.
Jailed Gonabadi Dervishes have repeatedly stated that due to judicial misconduct by Judge Salavati will not appear in court.
It is now 20 months that they are detained and waiting for a fair trial .
Most important is the legal competency of investigating authority that is most important to form the court of law in order to put a defendant on just trial.
Unlawful interference of Judge Salavati in the medical treatment of political prisoners and especially prisoners of conscience has increased after Gonabadi Dervishes’s lawyers and Majzooban Noor website’s managers refused to take part in the trail renouncing the legality of the court which was supposed to be held on 29th of Aban. It was due to this refuse that they were denied medical treatment and were returned to prison by the Judge because Abolghasem Salavati, recently ordered those who refuse to participate in the trial must be deprived of the “prisoner rights” such as Medical Services!

After transfer of seven Dervishes to Ward 209 which was with insult and mistreat, Saleh Moradi and Kasra Nouri on 27th Day 1391 (Jan 16, 2013) began a hunger strike to protest illegal transfer of seven Gonabadi dervishes’s lawyer to solitary confinement. They required prison officials to transfer back seven Gonabadi dervishes’s lawyers to the general ward of Evin Prison and called attention to their poor health status but unfortunately their simple request has not been answered yet and the detained lawyers of the Gonabadi dervishes are being held in solitary confinement of Ward 209 at about 72 days.
The worried families of these Prisoners of Conscience, by expressing grave concern about deplorable conditions of Dervishes have stated that they are on the verge of death now! and the Iranian authorities, specifically judge Salavati and Intelligence Ministry will be responsible for any risks to their lives as a result of their ongoing hunger strike, because the Iranian Judiciary officials have not yet paid any attention to their simple demands after 72 days.
