The trail of Gonabadi Dervish, Kasra Nouri, was held in Shiraz’s Revolutionary Court this morning, Tuesday 3 Bahman 1391 (Jan 22, 2013).

According to Majzooban Noor, Kasra Nouri who has been confined for more than one year in Shiraz Adel Abad prison on temporary detention, was transferred to Branch 3 of Shiraz’s Revolutionary Court to investigate the charges against him.

This prisoner of conscience has been accused of “interviews with foreign media”,”Propaganda against the regime”, “insulting the leadership”, “membership of deviant group: Majzooban!” and “expose national secrets”.

The court session that was presided over by Judge “Rashidi” and with the presence of his defender lawyer, “Mr. Fariborz Yadollahi” lasted three hours!

According to received news, Kasra Nouri who has been on hunger strike for seven days due to the extreme weakness and very bad health condition to defend himself stated: “I do not accept these accusations that are false and I will offer no defense to protest transfer of seven Gonabadi dervishes’s lawyers to solitary confinement so his lawyer, Mr. Yadollahi defended him.

It is notable that, it is seventh day that Kasra Nouri along with Saleh Moradi have been on hunger strike to protest transfer of seven Gonabadi dervishes’s lawyers and Majzooban Noor website Managers to solitary confinement of Evin prison.

A number of Gonabadi dervishes to express solidarity with this prisoner of Conscience gathered in front of the Shiraz’s Revolutionary Court but they were faced with the heavy presence of plainclothes and security forces who prevented the families and dervishes from coming close to him.

When he was returning to prison, dervishes chanted slogans to show their support for him.

Our reporter added that, Kasra Nouri was taken from prison into the court by handcuffs and shackles(!) which according to prison Rules and Regulations is absolutely against the law.

This illegal act is repeated while the families of jailed dervishes (who have been held in Shiraz Adel Abad prison), in a meeting with Mr Mousa Ahmadi (the Director general of the Central Prison in Shiraz), objected to these such unlawful acts and Mr. Ahmadi in response, Promised to investigate wrongdoing of prison officers and following the states of jailed dervishes but unfortunately in his case, the law is not observed till now.
