Critical Condition of Amir Eslami in Ward 350/ No Medical Treatment without the Permission of Intelligence Ministry

eslami-amir

Gonabadi Dervish lawyer, Amir Eslami deprived of medical leave despite his dire health conditions.
According to Majzooban Noor, although the physicians of Evin prison infirmary have ordered emergency transfer and special medical care for Amir Eslami who is a heart patient but the authorities have continually denied his urgent need for treatment outside prison despite the severe stomach pain and gastrointestinal disorders.
The Iranian Judiciary refused to allow him to be hospitalized for his problems while his physical condition has reached emergency situations for many times in prison and the prison infirmary has ordered his immediate transfer to a public hospital.
It should be noted that, Mr. Hamidifar, the chairman of Evin prison’s “Sentence Implementation Unit about the transfer of Dervish lawyer, Amir Eslami to hospital, refers to a written order by Judge Salavati, in which Judge Salavati has stated that, transfer of imprisoned Dervishes in Ward 350 of Evin prison to the treatment centers is only permitted provided that the permission is issued by the Ministry of Information.
This prisoner of conscience is suffering from gastrointestinal disease from a long time ago but in recent days his situation has been actually getting worse so that he has often vomited up the blood which can be a cause of concern.
Up to now the efforts of the imprisoned Dervishes’ families to follow up on their poor health conditions that require specialty medical care has been fruitless and even Khodabakhshi, the Evin prison supervisor/assistant prosecutor has threatened the families with “being forbidden to visit the jailed Dervishes”!
Currently seven Dervish lawyers and Majzooban Noor website’s managers (Nematollahi Gonabadi Order News Website) Messrs. Hamid Reza Moradi, Mostafa Daneshjou, Amir Eslami, Farshid Yadollahi, Afshin Karampour and Reza Entesari who have still remained in temporary custody at Tehran’s Evin prison without a fair trial and no charges for more than 22 months, complained repeatedly about the illegality of their imprisonment and the lack of due process in their case and even in a letter signed by these jailed lawyers and Dervish rights activists, they requested investigation on violation of law by judge Salavati from disciplinary prosecutor court of Judges.
