Gonabadi dervish, Hamid Reza Moradi , who is detained in ward 209 of Evin prison has been severely beaten by security forces.

According to received news to Majzooban Noor, Hamid Reza Moradi Dervish rights activist and manager of Majzooban Noor website who has been transferred to solitary confinement was beaten by investigators.

He along with 6 other dervish lawyers have been sent into solitary confinement due to protest against nonconformity of procedural Law since 26 Dey 1391 (Jan 15, 2013).

According to Majzooban Noor, Hamid Moradi transferred to the interrogation room and in front of Mostafa Daneshjou and another dervish prisoner has been severely beaten so far Mr. Moradi was vomiting blood due to the severe beating then they took off all his clothes, then this prisoner of conscience was forced to stay naked in prison yard in cold winter.

Over the past two days, there is no information on the health status of Mr. Moradi and other dervishes who are held in sections 209 and 240 of Evin prison and their families have expressed concern about their health and physical condition.

It is reminded that, two Jailed gonabadi dervishes, Kasra Nouri and Saleh Moradi who are held in Shiraz Adel Abad prison have lunched hunger strike to protest illegal transfer of seven Gonabadi dervishes’s lawyers and Majzooban Noor website Managers to solitary confinement of Evin prison since 27 Dey (15 Jan) and their situations after 10 days of being on hunger strike is deteriorating.
