Mohammadreza Poorshajari Sentenced to Imprisonment and Exile

Mohammadreza Poorshajari was sentenced to 1 year imprisonment, 2 years exile in Ardakan, a small town near the city of Yazd, and seizure of his personal belongings and his cash which he had during his imprisonment, by the revolutionary Court in Karaj.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Mohammadreza Poorshajari (Siamak Mehr), an imprisoned blogger, was sentenced to endure one year of imprisonment and two years’ residence (exile) in a small town, Ardakan, of Yazd city on the charge of propaganda against the regime by the Revolutionary Court in Karaj, presided by Judge Asef Hosseini. According to the court verdict, an amounted of 4 million and 200 thousands Tomans cash and personal belongings, which at the time of arrest were on him, also were confiscated.

Mr Poorshajari was arrested on 30th September 2014, while it was just couple of weeks after his freedom from prison. Now, this blogger is in Rajai Shahr prison, in Karaj, serving his sentence.
