Mohammad Bagher Nobakht spokesman for the Rohani administration announced that bakeries can increase bread prices up to 30 percent starting Monday December 1.

HE added that wheat subsidies will be paid as usual and up to 30 percent increase in retail prices of bread is approved for bakeries to meet their costs.

Bakeries have been under pressure as inflation has increased their costs but government regulations did not allow an increase in price of bread which is considered a staple food.
