The Trial of 4 Gonabadi Dervishes Imprisoned at Adel-Abad Prison Was Held

The hearing of the charges of four Gonabadi Dervishes imprisoned at Adel-Abad prison in the presence of their lawyers, was held yesterday morning monday 20 Aban, 1392 ( Nov 11, 2013) in the Shiraz’s Revolutionary Court Branch 2.

According to Majzooban Noor, four Gonabadi Dervishes, Messrs. Mohsen Esmaeeli, Seyed Ebrahim Bahrami, Mohammad Ali Sadeghi and Mohammad Ali Dehghan who were arrested in the city of Kavar on 10 Ordibehesht 1392 (April 30 2013) , were taken to the Branch 2 of the Revolutionary Court in Shiraz to investigate allegations against them.
In this session Dervishes defended themselves in the presence of their lawyers, Messrs. Harsini, Nazari and Montazeri. At the end of court session which lasted over three hours the judge Mr. Yazdanian gave no explanation about the further or final hearing.
During the trial, a large number of Gonabadi Dervishes from the cities of Shiraz and Kavar in solidarity with their imprisoned brothers had gathered in front of the Revolutionary Court in Shiraz.

The Gonabadi Dervishes, Mohsen Esmaeeli, Seyed Ebrahim Bahrami, Mohammad Ali Sadeghi and Mohammad Ali Dehghan residents of Kavar town in Fars province were charged with “the formation of terrorist group against the regime,” “participating in the gatherings with the aim of overthrowing the Islamic Republic,” “Moharebeh (“enmity against the God”) and “carrying illegal weapons”.
Despite being under arrest for six months, the Dervishes are held undecided in Adel-Abad prison in a ward known as “Ebrat” (ward of prisoners of conscience) where another Gonabadi Dervish, Kasra Nouri is serving his four years and four months prison sentence.
